Emory Remington Trombone Choir Competition

For ensembles of 8 to 16 trombonists

First Prize - Featured performance at the 2008 International Trombone Festival in Salt Lake City, UT.

The 2008 ITA Competitions General Rules and Requirements must be strictly followed to avoid disqualification.

Additional Rules

  • No guest soloists are allowed.  All improvised solos must be performed by regular members of the ensemble.
  • No age requirement or school affiliation required.
  • Winning ensemble must utilize only the players who made the CD recording in their ITF appearance—no additional players or substitutions without the approval of the Competitions Committee.
  • Winning conductor has total control over the content of their ITF performance.
  • Members of the 2004, 2005, 2006, or 2007 Remington Competition winners are not eligible in the 2008 Emory Remington Trombone Choir Competition.
