For bass trombonists ages 25 and under (birth date of January 1, 1983 or later)

General Rules and Requirements

• The 2009 ITA Competitions General Rules and Requirements must be strictly followed to avoid disqualification.

Additional Rules

• Live piano accompaniment is required. No pre-recorded accompaniments are acceptable.
• Past winners of the Donald Yaxley Bass Trombone Competition are not eligible in the 2009 Yaxley Bass Trombone Competition.

Preliminary Round

Konzert in F Major for bass trombone and piano - Zimmermann-Frankfurt

IMPORTANT NOTE: Observe the following cuts

1. Begin 17 bars before letter A
2. Cut from letter B to 7th bar after letter B
3. Cut from 9th bar after letter C to the 16th bar after letter C
4. Cut the 13-bar piano interlude after the end of the Thema and go directly to Variation I
5. Cut the 21-bar interlude after Variation I and go directly to Variation II
