Glenwood Moravian Trombone Choir 40th Anniversary Concert

The Glenwood Moravian Trombone Choir (Madison, WI), under the direction of Steve Ash and Mike Allsen, will be celebrating its 40th anniversary with a free concert on Sunday April 30, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at Glenwood Moravian Community Church, 725 Gilmore St. in Madison.

Founded in 1983, this group plays mostly music arranged for the group by members of the group. The program will feature music in a wide variety of styles—from traditional Moravian chorales and transcriptions of vocal music, to gospel, jazz, and more with works by William Billings, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Frank Zappa, Philip Glass, Jacob Handl, Franz Biebl, and many others. Also included are new works written for the concert by Steve and Mike, Steve Kurr, and Jeff Reynolds. The concert will be livestreamed and archived on Glenwood’s YouTube channel:
