International Trombone Summit
June 16 - June 24
The International Trombone Summit (ITS) is designed to connect students with professional trombonists from around the world. The 2023 Summit will include U18 (students aged 12-18), University (undergraduate and graduate level) and Masters (open enrollment for students beyond formal studies) Divisions.
This year’s summit includes faculty members Vanessa Fralick (Toronto Symphony Orchestra, University of Toronto), Fabrice Millischer (Paris Conservatory, Freiburg Conservatory of Music), James Justin Kent (Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Music Festival), Marco Gómez (Royal Danish Orchestra), Steven Osborne (Sarasota Orchestra), Rebecca Ciabattari (Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, Paragon Ragtime Orchestra, Lycoming College), and concert pianist, Dr. Michael Schneider.
The 2023 ITS week will take place in the exquisite pastoral setting of Danville, Pennsylvania nestled alongside the Susquehanna River and University Division fellows will enjoy living together in a stunning historic mansion on West Market Street. All participants will experience private lessons with faculty, warm up classes, solo performance opportunities, chamber music coaching and performances, along with orchestral excerpt masterclasses.
Check out our website for details and registration. University Division applicants are asked to submit a recording of their choice that best represents their playing. All U18 and Masters Division registrants will be accepted.
