Kirsten Warfield Visits at Colorado State

Trombonist Kirsten Warfield of the United State Army Band “Pershing’s Own” will be in residence at Colorado State University for a number of events over the course of the day. She is joined by her husband, Dr. Patrick Warfield, who is a member or the Music History Faculty at the University of Maryland, and who will be presenting to CSU Music History classes.

11:00AM: Clinic on how to prepare a high-quality recording for an audition or a competition
6:00PM: Guest Artist Recital
7:00PM: master class with CSU Trombone Studio members

SFC Warfield was the first female to win a job in Pershing’s Own. In addition to her duties in that ensemble, she is an active freelancer in the Washington DC area, she plays in the band Black Masala, and she is the competitions coordinator for the American Trombone Workshop.
