This is an annual radio broadcast that features the finest in trombone artists performing nationally, internationally, and regionally. Artists like: J.J.Johnson; Jimmy Cleveland; Slide Hampton; Garchan Moncur III; Steve Turre; Lawrence Brown; Raul De Souza; Fred Wesley; Wayne Henderson; Melba Liston; etc. This program was developed at Howard University by master trombonist, Prof. Christopher Steele and noted jazz authority, Dr. Saïs Kamalidiin, vice-president of the HBCU – Jazz Education Initiative.
