Southern Miss Trombone Day with James Markey and Blue Ridge Trombone Quartet

James Markey (Bass Trombonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra) and the Blue Ridge Trombone Quartet will be featured guest artists at the 2024 Southern Miss Trombone Day on April 20, 2024. In addition to some amazing guest artists, we are excited to share some new aspects to the event:
A performance showcase featuring high school and collegiate trombonists! This is open to high school and college trombone ensembles and could be trombone quartets, octets, choirs, etc. Each group would have up to a 20-minute performance window on the day of the event and would receive written feedback from some of our guest artists!
In addition, each attendee would be able to observe a master class by Mr. Markey, recitals by Mr. Markey and the Blue Ridge Trombone Quartet, and the Trombone Finale Concert featuring Mr. Markey with the Southern Miss Trombone Choir. ALSO, we will have a ton of vendors attending including Edwards Trombones, Griego Mouthpieces, Greg Black Mouthpieces, Gidding Mouthpieces, and Dino Bone Music.
