The University of New Mexico has two Graduate Assistantships open for the Fall of 2019: one in tenor trombone and one in bass trombone. These are for incoming masters degree students only; UNM does not currently offer a DMA degree. Both GAs include tuition remission and a stipend. Health insurance is available.
UNM also has many Band/Orchestra Scholarships available for trombonists. Masters students generally qualify for in-state tuition, which is extremely low.
Application deadline is February 1, 2019. Audition dates are flexible.
