Score and parts. Grade 3.

Primary Genre: Trombone Ensembles - 4 trombones

This is a simple, elegant arrangement of Liszt’s Nocturne No.3, better known as Liebestraum. Its melody is carried primarily in the first and second parts but all parts have important melodic and accompaniment moments. The arrangement is great for high school or college level trombone choirs or quartets, an excellent tool for developing musical style, intonation and coordination of an accompaniment divided in several parts. Ranges are fairly compact, C-flat-bflat1, and with only a few exceptions the tenor parts stay between d and f1 which makes this arrangement attractive for younger ensembles. If you are looking for a simple arrangement with a beautiful melody to create contrast and rest in a trombone choir concert, Liebestraum is an excellent choice.
