Larry Clark (b.1963) has written works for all skill levels from the beginner student through college ensemble. This new book is a collection of twenty-nine duets arranged or composed by Clark. Volume II contains selections from classical, folk music or newly composed melodies. Like many duet books, the duets are not arranged progressively or in any particular order. Clark points out in the forward that both parts to the duets have equal opportunity to play the melody; phrase markings are written in both parts. Carl Fischer has published and arranged this edition for bass clef instruments: trombone, baritone, and bassoon. Other editions are available for flute, B-flat instruments (duo of clarinets, trumpets, or tenor saxophones), E-flat instruments, F horn, tuba, and oboe. They are all arranged in the same key to allow for flexibility and can easily be performed by any group of wind instruments. This is a good source to combine varying levels of musicians from advanced middle school and beyond because of their limited range, F to g1, and minimal  rhythmic complexity.
