...or participate in an event organized by someone else

We're hoping for a vibrant mix of musical experiences with student, amateur, and professional performers as well as their family and friends. You can find out about other events - and cheer on your colleagues - by visiting the ITA's website for ITW-specific information and links to social content on Facebook, Twitter (use hashtag "#spitvalve"), youTube, and Flickr.

Select great music

Perform music you like and consider including a special work composed in honor of International Trombone Week. For example, Brad Edwards composed several marvelous ITW fanfares for trombone octet. You'll find his music and more on the ITA's site. You can download it all at no cost. Please be sure to credit the composer and mention the ITW in your program and/or remarks.

Spread the ITW vibe in your community

Register your event on the ITA's website and tell the world what you're doing. Talk it up around town, too.

Prepare and practice, practice, practice

Your event represents the entire trombone community. Please do your best to prepare and deliver a beautiful and professional performance. Arrive early and well-prepared; thank your host and the audience.

This is our twelfth year!

International Trombone Week was created by the ITA in 2003 to promote the trombone all over the world. Please join us this year.
