ITA Vacancies: (Online) News Coordinator(s)


The International Trombone Association is looking for a Trombone News Coordinator for the ITA Journal and an Online News Coordinator for the ITA website (trombone.net). ITA Journal Trombone News Coordinator

Requirements

  • Editing skills; a strong grasp of grammar and language use. Knowledge of MLA and Chicago Style manuals, as well as music writing style conventions.
  • Deadline driven, strong time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
  • A relevant international network in the trombone world.

Work

  • Acquisition, selection, editing and writing of news items for the ITA General News section of the ITA Journal.
  • Assisting and advising the ITA Journal managing editor on developing the ITA GeneralNews section and beyond.
  • This is a volunteer position with limited benefits, such as a free ITA membership and an excellent opportunity to expand your trombone network.

Starting date: February 1, 2023

Online News Coordinator

Requirements

  • Editing skills; a strong grasp of grammar and language use.
  • Deadline driven, strong time management, organization, and prioritization abilities.
  • A relevant international network in the trombone world.
  • Experience with WordPress and simple photo editing are a plus.

Work

  • Independently managing and developing the Online News section of the website (trombone.net).
  • Acquisition, editing and writing of news items for the Online News section of the website.
  • This is a volunteer position with limited benefits, such as a free ITA membership and an excellent opportunity to expand your trombone network.

Starting date: February 1, 2023
