Rocket City Bones @ Alabama Center For The Arts Jazz Festival

BIG News! The 2024 ACA Jazz Festival, “Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans”, will take place Saturday April 13th! Guest Artists include Delfeayo Marsalis and Jason Marsalis! Clinicians include Tim Leahey and Dr. Mitch Butler. Adjudicators include Bo Clayton and Monica Schriver. The ACA Jazz Festival will feature College, University, High School, Community, and Professional Jazz Ensembles! There will be performances in the ACA Recital Hall and Downtown Decatur (outside stage), from 9am-5:30pm. There will be a mass clinic / Q&A with the Marsalis’s at 1pm in the Princess Theatre, a Finale Concert featuring the Marsalis’s, special guests, and the Calhoun Community College Show Band at 7pm, and there wdill be an “after-party” jam session at the Brick immediately following the concert. All events are FREE and open to the public! Educational groups will receive written comments and a short clinic.
