Primary Genre: Trombone Ensembles - 4 trombones

This famous melody has been set to simple accompaniment in this straight-forward arrangement. Melody is passed among the top three parts. Trombone one goes up to b-flat1 and the lowest note in the bass part is F, making this quite playable on tenor trombone. Stylistic markings are indicated and dynamics are sensible. Interpreting articulations in some spots could be confusing; for example one part is indicated staccato, another staccato under a slur, and the third to slur into a staccato. A tasteful ritardando-a tempo is appropriately placed near the end. Given the familiarity of the melody and simplicity of the arrangement, this is a worthy selection for a trombone choir or quartet program that allows both audience and ensemble a respite from heavier and longer works.
