Weihnachtsmusik: Volumes 1 and 2 arranged for three trombones

Arranged by Eric Kania

Halberstadt, , Germany
Publisher: Musikverlag Bruno Uetz
Date of Publication: 2012

Primary Genre: Trombone Ensembles - 3 trombones

These 29 familiar Christmas tunes are published in two, separate volumes, in a simple, three part format that also contain lesser known carols. Designed truly as “music for use,” these arrangements can be played by young intermediate groups or professional ensembles on any concert. Most of the arrangements are given in simple three part voicing, in easy registers, AA to g1, with octave alternatives in the trombone 3 part to make it accessible to younger players. Kania interjects fun by adding special effects, including wa-wa and solo tone mutes, swing inflections and optional jingle bell and melodica parts. Three scores are needed for performance unless they are shared. These are nice collections of easy to prepare arrangements, useful for any trombone library.
