Piano score and solo part

Primary Genre: Solo Tenor Trombone - with piano

These three, short solos transcribed from Satie’s famous piano works translate well for trombone. Mr. Sauer changed the keys, made the piano melody the trombone solo part, adjusted the odd phrase marking, and added final solo trombone notes in the last measure(s) of the second and third Gymnopédies. Additionally, he edited the solo dynamic indications, making them one dynamic louder than Satie’s, undoubtedly to make the trombone part a bit more prominent and easier to play. Where the phrases are especially long, Mr. Sauer adds optional breath marks. The trombone part is given in tenor clef throughout, with a range from G to b-flat1. These musically challenging works require an accomplished musician for effective performance. Consider these offerings great recital fare.
