Primary Genre: Brass Ensemble - 5 brass

This march is a nice alternative to "Pomp and Circumstance" or other traditional processionals. Written in 2/2 meter, it features an ABA form whose outer Maestoso sections are in the key of D major; the middle Cantabile section is in G major. A separate bass trombone part is provided as an alternative to tuba, which is identical to the tuba part except some passages are written up an octave. Written ranges: trumpet 1 (in C) b-b2, trumpet 2 (in C) a-g2, horn c-sharp1-g2, trombone A-g1, tuba EE-e, alternate bass trombone BB-sharp-b. Trumpets occasionally cross voices and carry the melody through the entire arrangement with the exception of the first 16 measures of the Cantabile section, where trombone takes over. The trombone part uses bass and tenor clefs. The only drawback, all five players play the entire piece without any rest. If used as a processional with potential for repeated sections, it can be quite taxing.
