5 Seasons is a collection of 23 songs for trombone and piano. These short songs cover the range of B-flat to e-flat1 and each remains in the comfortable vocal range of one octave. The songs vary in length from one to three lines. Various meters are used throughout covering common simple and compound types. The entire trombone part is written in bass clef. Titles and the included lyrics are given in German; only the title of the collection, 5 Seasons, is translated into English. No phrasing, dynamic, or articulation markings are included in the trombone or piano part. These songs are a great introduction to lyrical playing for young trombonists under the guidance of an instructor.
