This is a beautifully engraved, well-edited version of Schubert’s original for two tenor and two bass voices. Jean-Louis Couturier has done a wonderful job adhering to Schubert, with slurs taking the place of melismas in the text. Rehearsal marks and measure numbers are added for clarity. The only minor complaint is that the parts all have separate pages, but they can easily be taped. Highly recommended.
