Primary Genre: Solo Tenor Trombone - with piano

Antar is a pretty pop ballad, a nice addition to the literature for young trombonists. The range, f to f1, is appropriate for this level. Challenging syncopated and tied rhythms provide valuable rhythmic training for the young musician. The accompaniment is simple and features gentle arpeggios in the left hand and chords in the right hand that reinforce rhythms in the solo part and will help a younger player play correct rhythms. Antar is also excellent for working on lyrical expressive playing, beautiful trombone sound. It is a nice update to the current literature for young trombonists.
