Score and parts

Primary Genre: Brass Ensemble - 6+ brass (choir)

American composer and organist, Sandra Gay, has published numerous works for a wide variety of instruments. Fanfare is written for double brass choir—the instrumentation is as follows: 4 trumpets, 4 horns, 2 trombones, 2 euphoniums, and 2 tubas. Marked ‘Joyfully,’ the call and response interaction between the two choirs and its wide dynamic range is reminiscent of Gabrieli’s music. There are no technical challenges; this piece is accessible by any high school brass ensemble and will make a great concert opener. The full score is written in C; printed parts are easy to read.
