Piano score and solo part

Primary Genre: Solo Tenor Trombone - with piano

This reviewer is greatly impressed with the six pages of information about the opera upon which this publication is based. The name, Ambroise Thomas (1811-1896), has not been much visited by musicologists. Therefore, we are pleased to become aware of this work through the experience of the arranger himself as he writes of his introduction to the work and of the composer. The trombonist will need a strong, singing high register with a d-flat2 to be played fortissimo at the climax of the work. Musicianship as well as strength to perform the work will be so important, definitely for advanced musicians. I also played the work on the bass trombone, an octave down, and liked it that way also as fits the instrument quite well. Then there is the piano part, many notes with a need to be rhythmically accurate.
