Organ score and solo part

Primary Genre: Solo Tenor Trombone - with organ

This version of the beloved movement from Holst’s original orchestra work is tastefully arranged for trombone and organ. The trombone solo plays the main melodic content presented by the woodwinds and strings. I applaud the use of organ instead of piano. It was a great choice and the lines, colors, and textures that are available via the organ registrations makes the accompaniment more effective. The organ accompaniment is not difficult. The trombone part demands excellent control in soft dynamics and high register. The higher passages are balanced with middle register work, so it is not too taxing. This is an excellent arrangement that would be a great addition to a trombone and organ recital.
