Van Hof Accepts Position at Ball State


Chris Van Hof has recently been appointed the new Assistant Professor of Trombone at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He will also be the trombonist in the BSU Faculty Brass Quintet and principal trombonist of the Muncie Symphony. In addition to his studio teaching and performing, Chris will conduct the BSU Trombone Choir and coach chamber music.


Chris previously was Assistant Professor at Colorado State University from 2013-2017, and taught adjunct at University of Wisconsin-Platteville (2012-2013), and Nazareth College (2008-2011). He studied with Mark Hetzler at UW-Madison (DMA), Mark Kellogg at Eastman (MM), and Steve Wolfinbarger at Western Michigan University (BM). Chris is an S.E. Shires Performing Artist.
