Score and parts.

Primary Genre: Brass Ensemble - 6+ brass (choir)

Leroy Anderson’s holiday favorite, A Christmas Festival, has been skillfully arranged by Angus Armstrong for brass ensemble and percussion. All aspects of the original score are retained and careful consideration has been given for exposed parts being placed in the correct voice ranges with manageable accompaniments. Soprano parts are indicated in piccolo trumpet and trumpet 2 in D. The remaining parts are traditional trumpet, horn, trombone, and tuba. Ranges are reasonable, although there is a moment where the second and third trombones are arranged to b-flat1. The first trombone part is printed in tenor clef, yet notated in bass clef in the score. The parts are well-printed with helpful cues in the percussion parts. Score and parts are available for immediate download from Cherry Classics Music. If you have a brass ensemble and are looking for a holiday selection that captures the spirit of nine different tunes in one overture-style work, this is for you.
