Tim Hutchens
Bio
Tim Hutchens is a trombonist with the United States Navy fleet bands, currently stationed in Honolulu, HI with the Pacific Fleet Band. Prior to the Navy, he served as an adjunct professor at Murray State University, involving teaching private lessons for trombone majors, directing the trombone choir and a brass quintet, and teaching music history classes for non-majors. Hutchens holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University, where he studied trombone with Professor Douglas Yeo. His doctoral project worked towards creating a new edition of the Rimsky-Korsakov Concerto for Trombone, which is currently available through Ensemble Publications.
