Bio

David's musical experiences include composer, trombonist, producer and teacher. He has been soloist and/or composer with the BONK New Music Festival, Subtropics New Music Festival, Society of Composers, SEAMUS and performed and recorded with Cecil Taylor, Diego Figueiredo, Sam Rivers, Eugene Chadbourne, Davey Williams, John Lindberg and other innovators. His recordings include “Modern Music for Trombone”, “Particle Zoo”, “Fluid Motion” (with Sam Rivers), “Beast”, “Infinita Bossa”, “A Kiss for Rio” “Radiant Forces” & “Go!”. David directs the nonprofit EMIT series of adventurous music and leads Brazilian group O Som Do Jazz and the Helios Jazz Orchestra. David teaches jazz, low brass and recording arts at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida. His orchestral works have been performed by the Florida Orchestra. Recent television placements of original compositions include “Looking” on HBO, “Grandfathered” on Fox, “Riverdale” on CW, “Preacher” on AMC, "Single Parents" on ABC and "Your Honor" on Showtime.
